Hey there, ya'll.

It took me forever to figure out how on earth to maintain clear water in our pool. We were constantly getting green-ish water. YUCK!

Well, say goodbye to murky swamp water and hello to CRYSTAL CLEAR OASIS! I didn't think it was possible. Seriously. I've briefly listed out everything that I do to maintain and then also listed each product I use in the process from the Pool Pump and Filter to the Chlorine Tablets, etc. It really took our above-ground pool to the next level. I hope this helps!

Thanks for stopping bye!

How we do it.

Sand Filter w/ pump

Our Pool is a 3,000 gallon pool and it comes with a pump that lasted 2 days before it lost almost 50% of it's clean water coming out of the filter. We immediately ordered a Large sand pump with filter (Link) and it clears over 10,000 gallons so it was a no brainer how clean it will keep our pool.

Gather Chemicals

You're going to want a little stock of supplies needed to keep your pool balanced.

Attach Skimmer & Sock

These above ground pools come with two ports near the halfway mark down the side of the pool. This creates a weak spot at the surface where debris, bugs, surface pollen, grime, and more will stay on top, and you have to scoop them out manually. Attaching the skimmer creates a constant flow of water on the surface that is always pulling in unwanted things in your pool while filtering the water.

Test Pool

You have everything ready to get this pool pumping and clean. Let's test the pool. The test strips we use, you just hold your hand under the water and when you pull it up you can coordinate with the strip tube, or you can use their app to upload a photo of your strip! It will tell you exactly what you need to do to get your pool balanced.

Using Chemicals

Using your Test Strips to maintain proper levels, add. one chlorine tablet to one of the tablet floaters and 1 arm and hammer tablet to the other. You cannot combine the two in the same holder or else a chemical reaction will occur. Remember to routinely check your levels.

Vacuum Head and Hose

Next let's suck up dirt, grime, any algea build-up. Simple as that.

Wait Time

You may need to vacuum multiple days in a row to achieve 100% clarity in the water. Continue to let the filter run for 24hrs to maintain a steady water filtering, and then go back to 6/8 hours a day.

Enjoy & Swim!

You've made it this far. I truly hope this helped you and that your water is now as clear as glass! Summer is short lived in the Northwest where we are located so I'm gonna head back into the pool now. See ya!!
